Frantz Garden Center is proud to host family-friendly events twice a year, once in the spring, and once in the fall. These events often include free workshops led by industry experts, and fun hands-on activities for the whole family.

10:00am-1:00pm – Do the Most for Your Lawn! Find out how to take care of your lawn with our lawn and sod professional Jared Ross from Delta Blue Grass Company. Jared will bring sod samples and help you determine which blend will be the best option for your yard.
11:00am – Free Seminar – The Living Soil. Join David Benningfield, a nursery friend and sales rep for Kellogs Garden Products, for an informative and fun seminar. David will cover essential gardening topics like increasing crop yields by using organic fertilizers, when and how much to fertilize, how to increase drainage and nutrient retention, and much more!
1:00pm – Free Seminar – All About Lavender with Cynthia Tanis. Join our landscape designer and plant guru, Cynthia Tanis, for an informative afternoon talk about lavender. You’ll learn about the history, folklore, culinary and medicinal uses, as well as best practices for growing and cultivation.
10:00am-2:00pm – Free Kid’s Activity – Art in the Garden. Come and decorate a pot and plant a flower to take home. One per child, must be accompanied by an adult. This open-air art studio will be located in the shade house, just beyond the succulent shopping area.
