You can replant the succulents after the season into a pot or in the garden. This activity will cost a minimal fee ($20) which includes your pumpkin\, soil\, choice of 3 succulents Qt’s and a few assorted fall floral pics to top it all off! Come and get your hands dirty with us! Adults only please. Call us at  874-4769 to pay0ahead to hold your spot! \n1:00pm Wreath Making Class with Cynthia! – Come and learn the techniques to make a Fall wreath that you will be proud to display! Cynthia has crafted wreaths for all occasions and seasons and can show you different techniques and tips for making a wreath of your own.  A minimal fee ($20) to cover materials for each participant. Join us for coffee and muffins\n  \n8:30am | Make a Hypertufa Pot with Peggy Barse\nMake a one-of-a-kind piece of garden art using the centuries old technique of Hypertufa. We’ll provide the molding and supplies. Plan to get dirty\, so wear play clothes and bring your gloves and remove jewelry! The pot will remain at the nursery to “set” until Monday\, then you can gently transport it home. It will need to be in a shady spot to “cure”. \nThis workshop requires that you register below. \n  \n10:00am | Veggie Extravaganza with Amy Lomeli\n\nPlease bring the kiddos to our veggie patch (on the corner) to help us plant our winter garden. They will learn a thing or two from Amy Lomeli (friend to the nursery and gardener extraordinaire). Adults: while you wait for the kiddos\, take advantage of our complementary herb-potting station. Fill a peat pot with our Frantz planting mix and one herb or winter vegetable to enjoy all season. \n  \n10:00am – 12:00pm | Organic Gardening\, Soils and Fertilizers\nChat with David Benningfield\, the regional sales representative for Kellog’s Garden Supply. He supplies our garden center with organic soil blends and soil amendments for any and all plants that we sell. The soils are OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) certified. While it’s not that important that a shade tree has an organic soil\, it’s pretty great that we can sell the same soils for fruit trees and vegetables. \n  \n10:00am – 2:00pm | Face Painting for the Kids\n\n  \n11:00am & 1:00pm | Zebra Tram Ride\nDiscover our growing grounds and get to know the Frantz zebras. Jenny will be leading these tours. Please be seated 5 to 10 minutes before departure as bus leaves the Garden Center on time. Children must be accompanied by an adult! \n  \n10:00am – 2pm | Art in the Garden for Kids\n\nWe will be decorating the outside of a plump pumpkin with various materials on hand. It gives him great satisfaction to see vegetables grow from the smallest seed into something that provides a continual source of life. He will discuss how our plants grow and thrive naturally with organic fertilizers and soils as well as saving time\, water and money. David has been with Kellogg’s Garden Supply for 12 years and is extremely knowledgeable about the benefits of organic gardening. \n11:00-2:00pm: Petting Zoo for Kids\n12:00-2:00pm: Free Refreshments\n1:00pm: Free Fall Vegetable Planting Workshop for Kids\nBrandon & Angie will be teaching children how to plant and care for Fall and Winter vegetables.
